Michael Lord

Michael Nicholson Lord (born October 17, 1938) is a British politician, and Conservative Member of Parliament for Suffolk Central and Ipswich North. He has been a deputy Speaker of the House of Commons since 1997, and therefore does not take political stances. Before his position, he was one of the Maastricht Rebels, and was seen as socially conservative, opposing homosexuality and advocating the return of executions.
