Michael Heatley

Michael Heatley is the author of over thirty biographies, including Backstreet Boys: The Unofficial Book, Bon Jovi: In Their Own Words and Rolf Harris: The Most Talented Man In The World. In 1995, he wrote the liner notes to Rolf's best-selling album Rolf Rules OK! Michael Heatley entered the publishing world in 1977, since when he has been responsible for writing in excess of 100 music, sport and TV books. Music-book subjects range from Elton John, Guns n' Roses, Cher, David Gray and Queen to Eminem and Robbie Williams. His sports books include The History of Soccer, History of Boxing, Football Grounds Then and Now, the Great Derbies: Liverpool v Everton and Spurs v Arsenal and European Football Superstars. TV books he has written include Emmerdale: The First 20 Years, The Friends Annual and The Emmerdale Family Album. Magazines for which he has written features include: Privileged View (for viewers of UK Gold and UK Living), Official publications on Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Take The High Road, Football magazines 442 and Fultime (Fulham FC), Music Week (UK trade paper), Billboard (US trade paper), Goldmine (US record collecting magazine), Radio Times, the Daily Record (Scotland) and the Mail On Sunday colour magazine.
