Michael Keith Beale Colvin

) was a politician in the
United Kingdom
. He was first elected as a
Conservative Party
member of Parliament
in
1979
to a seat in
Bristol
. From 1983 onwards he was the member for the seat of
Romsey
and Waterside in
Hampshire
, which later became the seat of Romsey. He held the seat in
1997
, but died in a fire at his house three years later. The by-election was won by
Sandra Gidley
of the
Liberal Democrats
