Michael Aitkens

Michael Aitkens (born 1947) is a British writer of drama scripts for movies, television, and the traditional stage. He is well known in the UK for the BAFTA nominated BBC situation comedy Waiting for God, first shown in 1990. Michael Aitkens was educated at Haileybury. He then lived in Australia for ten years and Los Angeles for two years, and graduated from the American Film Institute (Los Angeles) in 1981. More than 150 of his scripts have been produced in the UK, USA and Australia. He now lives in London, where he works as a writer/producer, mainly on his own original series, and has recently formed his own independent production company, DAISYLU.
