Methyl Blue

Methyl blue, also known as Cotton blue, Helvetia blue, or Acid blue 93, is a chemical compound used as a stain in histology. Methyl blue stains collagen blue in tissue sections. Methyl blue's molecular formula is C37H27N3O9S3Na2. Its CAS registry number is 28983-56-4. Methyl blue should not be confused with another dye, methylene blue.
