Metalwood

Metalwood is a jazz fusion group, started in 1997 by four of the premier jazz musicians in North America. Consisting of saxophonist Mike Murley, keyboardist/trumpeter Brad Turner, bassist Chris Tarry, and drummer, Ian Froman, the group attempts to stretch the boundaries of jazz music, playing an eclectic blend of jazz fusion, funk, and electronica, among other influences. The band has won two Juno Awards, one in 1998, and one in 1999.
