Mere

A mere is a Maori war club about 12 inches (30 cm) in length. It has two almost flat sides and a rounded, sharpened top. A mere carved from greenstone possesses mana of its own. A mere is usually decorated with koru patterns.
   
Mere is also a non longer existing village near Bracebridge Heath, Lincolnshire, that has effectively been adsorbed into Branston "Mere" directly translated to Hindi (one of the primary languages spoken in the Indian sub-continent) means "my" or "mine".
