Melihate AjetiMelihate Ajeti (b. 1935) is a Kosovar actress. Born, raised, and went to the acting school in Pristina, and later specialized in Paris (Comedie Française). She was considered the number one theater actress of Pristina. She started acting at 16 years. In 1951, in the Teatri Krahinor i Kosovs she acted 180 main roles which showed her talent and her great capacity as an actress: Zullumqari, Sikur t isha djal, Besa, Vajza pa paj, Halili e Hajrija, Hanka, Zonja me kamelie, Erveheja, Anna Karenina, Shtetrrethimi, Hamlet, Othello, Antigone, Macbeth, Svinga e Gjall, Vdekja e nj mbretreshe, etc. She left indelible marks in Kosovar and Yugoslavian films as well: Uka i Bjeshkve t nemuna, Buka, Etja, Trimi, Era e Lisi, Kur Pranvera vonohet, T ngujuarit, E shtna n ajr, Prroi vrshues, Migjeni, Gjurmt e bardha, Dorotej, Lepuri me 5 kmb etc. She has a daughter from her 1953-1967 marriage with director Muharrem Qena.
