Meigs County is a county located in the state of Ohio. As of 2000, the population is 23,072. Its county seat is Pomeroy ⁶ and is named for Return Meigs, governor of ohio.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,120 km² (432 mi²). 1,112 km² (429 mi²) of it is land and 8 km² (3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.68% water.
