Mehdi Muhammed Ghezali

Mehdi Muhammed Ghezali (born 1979) is a citizen of Sweden who between January 2002 and July 2004 was held at Camp X-Ray after being captured in Pakistan. The US government has remained silent about the charges against him. Mehdi Muhammed Ghezali was born in Stockholm and grew up in rebro, the son of an Algerian immigrant. On July 8, 2004 he was returned to Sweden. Initially prosecutors claimed that they will press charges against him concerning thievery and other crimes allegedly committed prior to him leaving Sweden, but they have since been dropped. After his release he has given a description of his time in Camp X-Ray. He says he has been subject to some mild torture such as sleep deprivation and extreme cold. He is planning a lawsuit against the USA.
