Meep

Meep is an onomatopoetic word whose sound can be meant to be similar to honking a car horn. It has been used in several different cartoons. The Road Runner's only verbal statement is 'Meep Meep' (or Beep-beep). The Chocobos of the Final Fantasy series also emit weak "meep" sounds on occasion. Over the years "meep" has also become an Internet gesture of greeting, surprise, shock, or awe. In the comic book series The Maxx, "Meep" is also the only word available in iszes' vocabulary. The Muppet knowns as Beaker can likewise only communicate via "Meep" and excited body language. A fictional species called "Meeps" appear in the computer role-playing game Hero's Quest: So You Want To Be A Hero?; these Meeps are friendly subterranean humanoids whose bodies are covered in primary-colored fur.
