Media Object Server

Media Object Server (MOS) is an XML-based protocol for transferring information between newsroom automation systems and other associated systems such as media servers. The MOS protocol allows a variety of devices to be controlled from one central device or piece of software. This limits the need to have operators in multiple locations throughout the studio environment. For example, multiple character generators can be fired from a single control workstation, without needing an operator at each CG console.
