Mechanical Energy

In physics, mechanical energy is one of several forms of energy. It is distinguished by the property that it can be transferred from one system to another by forces known to Newtonian mechanics. This category includes kinetic energy or KE and gravitational potential energyand PE. The conservation of mechanical energy is a principle which states the total mechanical energy of a system is constant. It is also the sum of the kinetic and potential energy.
