Mccp

In computing, MCCP stands for Mud Client Compression Protocol. It is used in MUDs to compress the output text stream sent to the client using zlib, in order to reduce bandwidth usage, resulting in a faster connection. In order for MCCP to be used, it must be implemented on the serverside as well as the clientside, and negotiated during the connection using the Telnet protocol.
