Mazara Del ValloMazara del Vallo, a town in soth-western Sicily, Italy. The town lies on the left side of the mouth of the Mazaro river. It is an agricultural and fishing centre and its port gives shelter to the largest fishing fleet in Italy. It hosts also a bronze statue called Dancing Satyr (Satiro Danzante), found in March 1998 off the local port, at a depth of 500 meters below the Sicily Channel, Mediterranean Sea, believed to be by Greek artist Praxiteles. Inhabitants: 50,377.
