Maureen Mccormick

Maureen Denise McCormick (born August 5, 1956 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress best known for her role as Marcia Brady in the television series The Brady Bunch. She made her television debut in 1964 in an episode of Bewitched, and played guest roles in programs such as I Dream of Jeannie and My Three Sons before winning the role of Marcia. She played that role for the duration of the program's production from 1969 until 1974 and in later Brady Bunch movies. Also during this time, she was asked to lend her voice to the new Chatty Cathy doll. McCormick attempted to further her career after the demise of The Brady Bunch but although she made guest appearances in numerous television series, and played supporting roles in a few B-movies, she was never able to repeat her earlier success. In 1994 she played the role of Rizzo in the Broadway production of Grease. The following year she released a country and western album. Though not a great commercial success, it earned her generally postive reviews. In 2000, she played Rebecca Hotchkiss on Passions for ten episodes; after her stint ended, she was replaced by Andrea Evans. McCormick married Michael Cummings on 16 March 1985. They have one child, a daughter, Natalie.

Trivia

The line "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" (shouted by jealous younger sister Jan) has become one of the most instantly recognizable lines of dialogue from The Brady Bunch.
