Matrix Mechanics

Matrix mechanics is a formulation of quantum mechanics created by Werner Heisenberg in 1925. Matrix mechanics involve associating the properties of matter with matrices. Though matrix mechanics do not include concepts such as the wave function of Erwin Schrdinger's wave equation, the two approaches were proven to be mathematically equivalent by mathematician David Hilbert.
