Mathieu Allard

Mathieu Allard (born in St. Boniface, Manitoba) is a young politician in Manitoba, Canada. In the 2004 Canadian federal election, he was a candidate for the New Democratic Party in the riding of St. Boniface. Allard has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology from the Collge universitaire de Saint-Boniface. During the 2004 election, he was working towards completion of a Master's Degree in public administration at the University of Manitoba. He was also a weight-lifter at the 1999 Canada Winter Games, and trained for two years as a boxer. Allard has served as a legislative assistant to a number of MLAs in the provincial New Democratic Party. The 2004 campaign was his first as a candidate.
