Martn Luis Guzmn (18871976) was a Mexican journalist and literary writer who is considered, along with Mariano Azuela, the pioneer of the revolutionary novel, a genre inspired by the experiences of the Mexican Revolution of 1910, which he observed following the troops of General Francisco Villa.
