Martin Willison

Martin Willison was the Green Party candidate in the riding of Halifax West, Nova Scotia, during the Canadian Federal elections on June 28, 2004 in which the party won a record 4.31% of the popular vote with 580,816 Green votes cast, but won no seats. He is employed at Dalhousie University as a professor of biology and environmental studies. He has been a long-time environmental advocate, having won several national and international awards for his work in marine conservation. He is the Advocate for Oceans and Fisheries in the Green Party of Canada. His wife is an author and gardening commentator, Marjorie Willison. Willison, Martin
