Marquess Of Waterford

The Marquess of Waterford is the senior marquess in the Peerage of Ireland. The title was created in 1789 for the Earl of Tyrone. The Marquess holds the subsidiary titles of Earl of Tyrone (1746), Viscount Tyrone (1720), Baron Tyrone (1786), Baron La Poer (1375), and Baron Beresford (1720). All but the Barony of Tyrone are in the Peerage of Ireland. The Marquess is also an Irish baronet. Prior to 1999, the Marquess sat in the House of Lords as Baron Tyrone in the Peerage of Great Britain.
