Marlin Camp Carbine

The Marlin Camp Carbine was available in either 9mm Luger or .45 ACP. It came with a detachable magazine as part of the pistol grip. It was reasonably accurate and light weight. It was tapped and drilled for a scope mount. The Camp 9 rifle magazine could be swapped for a S&W 18 round type. The magazine did extend farther out than the stock one, but the extra rounds added to the fun for many. The only drawback was the plastic recoil buffer. It kept cracking and chipping. Cleaning and reassembly were relatively easy, but not quick. Excess oil gummed up the rifle and not enough oil caused chambering problems. Overall, it was a good rifle and would have been a geat rifle if a better material had been used for the recoil buffer.
