Mark Wing-davey

Son of actors Peter Davey and Anna Wing, Mark Wing-Davey studied at Cambridge University where he was a member of the Footlights from 1967 to 1970. He is particularly well remembered for playing the two-headed Galactic President, Zaphod Beeblebrox, in the radio and TV versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He works mainly in theatre now as performer, director and teacher. His directing credits are vast and varied and he is viewed as one of the foremost British directors. He was awarded the U.S.'s OBIE for directing the play 'Mad Forest'. He is also Chief Executive of The Actors Centre, London. Wing-Davey, Mark
