Mario Rodgers was the runner-up on the WB's Superstar USA, a spoof reality show that was looking for the worst singers while convincing the contestants that they were actually good. He sung less-than-perfect renditions of songs from Bob Seger and Aerosmith on the show and was well-liked for his enthusiasm and unique dancing style. Hailing from Newport News, VA, he used his $10,000 in winnings to fly his fiance to the United States from Germany. They were married in July 2004.
