marianopolis college

Marianopolis College is a CEGEP (Collge d'enseignement gnral et professionnel or College of General and Vocational Education) located in Montreal, Quebec. It is one of the few private, English language CEGEPs in the Montreal area, and is reputed to be one of the best in the province. As such, it is also one of the smallest, with a student body of less than 2,000. Unlike most CEGEPs that offer both two-year, general education programmes and three-year, vocational programmes, Marianopolis concentrates on two-year programmes only. Its science program is considered to be the most academically rigorous at Marianopolis, and admission is competitive. Other programs, such as commerce and creative arts, are not as competitive, but they have more academic requirements than comparable programs at other CEGEPs. Marianopolis is located at 3880 Côte-des-Neiges at the corner of Cedar, though the school will be relocating in 2006.
