Maitland River
The
Maitland River
is a
river
in southwestern
Ontario
which empties into
Lake Huron
near the town of
Goderich, Ontario
. The river is 150 km in length. The river was named after Sir
Peregrine Maitland
, who was Lieutenant-Governor of
Upper Canada
from 1818 to 1828.
