maine turnpike

The Maine Turnpike runs from Kittery to Augusta and is a toll road for all of its length except for a short section in Kittery and York. As of January 2004, it is signed entirely as Interstate 95. Flat-fee tolls are paid upon entering the turnpike and there are also barrier tolls in York, New Gloucester, and Gardiner. As of Feburary 1, 2005, the former Transpass electronic toll collection system has been discontinued and the turnpike joined the E-ZPass network.
