Magnus Arvedson

Magnus Arvedson (born November 25, 1971 in Karlstad, Sweden) is a Swedish professional hockey forward in the National Hockey League. He currently plays for the Vancouver Canucks. He was drafted in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, 5th Round, 119th Overall by the Ottawa Senators. He played left wing with the Ottawa Senators and moved up to the first line becoming an excellent defensive forward, but was criticized by many fans and commentators for his lack of grit and sporadic effort. At the end of the 2002-2003 season the Senators elected not to try to retain him and he signed as a free agent with the Canucks that summer. During the first part of the season Arvedson's performance was disappointing. Towards the mid-point of the year his play imporoved markedly as he settled in with his new team. Soon after he was injured, however, and missed much of the season. Related Link: Arvedson, Magnus Arvedson, Magnus Arvedson, Magnus Arvedson, Magnus
