Macei

Macei is the capital of the state of Alagoas in Brazil. Situated between the Munda Lake and the Atlantic Ocean. 786 288 inhabitants (1998). Tropical climate with average temperature of 25C. Several urban beaches, for instance Pajuara, Ponta Verde, Jatica and Cruz das Almas. Macei served as the American Capital of Culture in the year 2002.
