Ma Wan

Ma Wan (馬灣) is an island of Hong Kong, located between Lantau Island and Tsing Yi Island. Administratively, the island belongs to Tsuen Wan district. Area: 0.96 km². Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach is located on the island. A large part of the island is occupied by the Park Island housing estate. It is supposed that a theme park accompany with the resident project, but it has no sign the theme park will be realised.

Transportation

The island is crossed by the Ma Wan Viaduct, part of the Lantau Link, linking Hong Kong International Airport to the urban areas. It is connected to Tsing Yi by the Tsing Ma suspension bridge, and to Lantau Island by the Kap Shui Mun cable-stayed bridge. Both bridges are also part of the Lantau Link. Park Island Transport Co., Ltd. operates bus services between Park Island and Tsing Yi MTR station, Ma Wan and Kwai Fong, and a ferry service between Ma Wan and Central and between Ma Wan and Tsuen Wan West (next to the KCRC station).
