Lydia Denker

Lydia Denker is an Australian singer. She was born on December 25 1982 in Germany and grew up in the town of Neidermittlau. When she was eight, she moved to Melbourne.

Singing Career

Lydia Denker started singing at an early age. At 11, she recorded an original song which she co-wrote with her father Joseph Denker. She pursued her interest in music from a young age - from singing in the local choir to performances at night clubs, pubs and casinos. At 15, she joined the Midnight Revue Show where she performed regularly. She was singing at the Mercury Lounge at theCrown Casino where Ross Fraser of Gotham MD saw her singing and signed her to a record contract distributed through BMG Australia. Her debut single One Perfect Day from the Australian film of the same name has debuted at number 35 on the Australian charts on February 23, 2004. Her debut album Tragic Daydreams is released in April 2004.
