Lust For Life (1956 Movie)

Lust for Life is a 1956 film by Norman Corwin adapted from a biographical novel of the life of Vincent Van Gogh, by writer Irving Stone, first published in 1934. It was directed by Vincente Minnelli and George Cukor. It stars Kirk Douglas, Anthony Quinn, James Donald, Pamela Brown and Everett Sloane. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Anthony Quinn). It was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kirk Douglas), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Color and Best Writing, Best Screenplay - Adapted.
