Luminations

Luminations is an electronic puzzle in the shape of a tetrahedron, made by Random House in 1989. It has three coloured lights (red/green/yellow) at each of the four corners. There are 5 playing levels. Which level will be played depends on which corner is pointing up when the puzzle is switched on, and level 5 is only accessible when level 4 has been solved. When playing the game the corners will show various colours, and they change (depending on the level) when you rotate the puzzle letting a different corner point upwards. The aim is to make all the corners red. It was patented by Donald C. Miffitt, Angelo Tortola, Charles S. Sebor and Robert L. Halliday (US 4957291, 18 September 1990).
