Luis Gonzlez (Baseball Infielder)

Luis Alberto Gonzlez (born June 26, 1979 in Maracay, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball second baseman and right-handed batter who plays for the Colorado Rockies of the National League. Gonzlez made his debut in the 2004 season. On April 6, facing Randy Johnson and the Arizona Diamondbacks in the season opener for both teams, Gonzlez hit 2-for-5, including one home run and two RBI, and the Rockies top the Diamondbacks, 5-2. He finished his rookie season with a .292 batting average, 12 home runs, and 40 RBI in 102 games.
