Lowton

Lowton is a village close to Leigh, in the metropolitan borough of Wigan in Greater Manchester in northern England. The Post Office however list the village as being in Warrington. Lowton has a long history with many old buildings such as the old Black Smiths at Lane Head. It is the site of the first fatal train crash in the UK and is split in two by the East Lancashire Road.
