Loveless

Loveless is a shoegazing album by British band My Bloody Valentine, released on November 5, 1991 (see 1991 in music). Widely praised as the best album by My Bloody Valentine, it is also considered one of the most influential British albums of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The recording of Loveless was marred by difficulties, and it took years to be completed. The long recording nearly bankrupted Creation Records, My Bloody Valentine's record label. Brian Eno said, regarding the song "Soon", "It set a new standard for pop. It's the vaguest music ever to have been a hit." (Hype article reproduced at www.mybloodyvalentine.net)
