Louis Taylor

Louis Denison Taylor (also known as L.D. Taylor) (July 22, 1857-June 4, 1946) served seven times as Mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia. He was first elected in 1910, and served in 1911, 1915, 1925-28 and 1931-34. During his terms, he championed the amalgamation of Point Grey, South Vancouver and Vancouver (which eventually took place in 1929). The fact that he was an American (born in Ann Arbor, Michigan) was used against him by his political opponents with greatly varying degrees of success. See also: List of mayors of Vancouver. Taylor, Louis Taylor, Louis Taylor, Louis
