Lost Warld

Lost Warld was a Mario-like war game that Hideo Kojima was developing in 1986. The word "Warld" in the title is not a spelling error, but a made-up combination of the words "World" and "War". The game starred a female protagonist who was also a masked wrestler (inspired by the Tiger Mask anime series, which Kojima was a fan of during his childhood). Unfortunately, Kojima didn't have enough experience yet to understand fully the programming restraints of the games and made it far too in depth and detailed to be used effectively. Since the game was unfeasible at the time, Konami cancelled its production.
