Longwave Transmitter Beidweiler

The longwave transmitter Beidweiler is a longwave transmission facility of RTL near Beidweiler, Luxemburg. It is used for transmitting the French programme on 234 kHz with a power of 2000 kilowatts and uses therefore a directional aerial consisting of three guyed, grounded masts on which reusen aerials are mounted. The longwave transmitter Beidweiler replaces the old longwave transmitter Junglinster, which is since the inauguration of the transmitter Beidweiler in 1974 only spare transmitter.
