Livery Dole

Livery Dole is a street and crossroads in the Heavitree area of Exeter in Devon, England. It is the site of the old almshouses (founded 1591) and was a place of execution until 1531. People were executed there for crimes such as murder or witchcraft. Although the almshouses are still standing the area is now a place of bustling modern commerce.
