List Of Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Milepost Prefixes

When the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was formed from the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, mileposts from the former had an A appended to the beginning, and those from the latter had an S appended. These milepost prefixes continue to be used by CSX. The numbers of one line usually continue the sequence of the one it splits from; that hierarchy is shown in this list.

A Richmond, Virginia to Port Tampa, Florida

S Richmond, Virginia to Tampa, Florida

S has a gap from Jacksonville, Florida to Baldwin, Florida; the mileage is measured along SP and a never-built gap in downtown Jacksonville. Other gaps exist today, but not pre-merger. Others: ARN ASK SG SH SM SP
