List Of Human Characters In The Digimon SeriesNote: The English dub names are in parentheses. Digimon V-Tamer Taichi Yagami (Tai Kamiya) - The Hero. His partner is Zeromaru, a Veedramon. He different from the Taichi of anime's 1st season. Neo Saiba: Taichi's Rival. Rei Saiba: Neo's sister. Hideto: One of the Allis Three, his partner is a Omegamon (Omnimon). Sigma: One of the Alias Three, his real name is unknown. His pasrtner is Piemon(Piedmon) Mari: One of the Alias Three, her partner is Rosemon. Digimon Adventure & Digimon 02 Main characters: Taichi Yagami (Tai Kamiya) - He is sort of the 'leader' of the group. He likes to play soccer and is a good player, he also likes to wear sport goggles. He takes charge very quickly and moves in headfirst without thinking of the consequences. He has a younger sister named Hikari of whom he can be protective. In season two he still plays soccer but is no longer reckless. He receives the Crest of Courage and his Digimon partner is Agumon. Yamato (Matt) Ishida - He is a bit of a loner at times but still caring. He can be overprotective of his younger brother Takeru. He suffers from being brought up with his parents divorced. He and Taichi on numerous occasions got into fights. He receives the Crest of Friendship and his Digimon partner is Gabumon. In the movie his fusion partner is Taichi. In the second season he is the singer in a band called the "Teenage-Wolves," and not only is no longer overprotective towards Takeru, he is also no longer a rival towards Taichi and they have become good friends. Koushiro (Izzy) Izumi - He is very smart and a logical thinker. He is also a computer expert and constantly has a laptop computer with him, though at first he has a bad habit of doing research and ignoring the things around him. Later on Gennai upgrades his laptop to display information on Digimon. He is fairly insecure at times because he was adopted and never knew his real parents. In season two, Koushiro is still a computer expert and helps out the new chosen children the most. When they would head to the digital world, Koushiro would remain behind in the real world to provide technical support. He receives the Crest of Knowledge and his Digimon partner is Tentomon. Sora Takenouchi - She is supportive and kind though often lacks self-esteem though she acts like a mother figure. She has just a dash of tomboyish in her. She also plays soccer and knew Taichi before their digimon experience. She has trouble with her mother who wants Sora to give up soccer and learn the art of floral arranging. In season two, Sora has retired from soccer and has taken up tennis instead. She and her mother have put aside their past problems and is now learning the art of floral arranging. She receives the Crest of Love and her Digimon partner is Piyomon (Biyomon). Mimi Tachikawa - She is caring and slightly selfish (at least at first). She had the hardest time fighting among the chosen children because she was caring and didn't want to hurt anyone. Near the end of the season, Mimi temorarily left the group with Jou because she got tired of the fighting. Later on it took Leomon's sacrifice to convince Mimi that sometimes fighting is unavoidable so she and Jou went to go round up as many allies as possible to help deal with the Dark Masters. In season two, Mimi and her parents have moved to New York City and she still keeps in touch with her old friends and makes a few trips to Japan each year, she and Miyako become good friends due to their similar personalities. She receives the Crest of Purity (Sincerity) and her Digimon partner is Palmon. Jou (Joe) Kido - He is dependable and thoughtful but also a worries too much. He tries to be the voice of reason within the group. In season two, Jou now attends a private school and rarely gets a chance to go to the digital world, but he no longer has a self-confidence problem. He receives the Crest of Faith (Reliability) and his Digimon partner is Gomamon. Takeru (T.K.) Takaishi - In the first season he was the youngest of the group and sadly a bit of a crybaby from the start. Though he later learns some bravery and helps the others when he can. He looks of to his older brother Yamato. In the second season he had a growth spurt and becomes a lot like his older brother that he's more polite. He still suffers from the old emotional scars from when Angemon died fighting Devimon though and deeply wishes to put down all evil forces so his own personal tragedy never happens again. He receives the Crest of Hope and the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Hope. His Digimon partner is Patamon and his fusion partner is Iori. Hikari Yagami (Kari Kamiya) - She joined the group after the other Chosen Children. She lacks confidence in herself because of how she compares herself to her older brother whom she saw was so determined. She is best friends with Takeru. In the second season, Hikari has taken up photography as a hobby. She receives the Crest of Light and the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Light. Her Digimon partner is Tailmon (Gatomon) and her fusion partner is Miyako. Daisuke (Davis) Motomiya - He is brave and stubborn. He is a soccer player and looks up to Taichi as his hero, to the point where Daisuke wears sport goggles like Taichi's and when his were broken, Taichi gave him his old sport goggles. He tends to be reckless just like Taichi used to be. After Ken reformed he quickly became best friends with him and was the first one to trust him. He had a noticeable crush on Hikari (though it died out in the later episodes. He receives the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Courage, the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Friendship and temporarily received the Digimental of Miracles (Golden Radiance). His Digimon partner is V-mon (Veemon) and his fusion partner is Ken. Unlike the rest of his teammates Daisuke doesn't give up even when the odds are stacked against them. (He made an appearance in the V-Tamer comic to help the Taichi of that series fight Parallemon.) Miyako (Yolei) Inoue - She is headstrong and stubborn. She idealizes Mimi and wants to be more like her because she also dislikes fighting. She also can get crushes on guys in an instant. She receives the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Love and the Digimental of Purity (Digi-Egg of Sincerity). Her Digimon partner is Hawkmon and her fusion partner is Hikari. Iori (Cody) Hida - He is the youngest in the second season yet dispute that he is very mature and thinks things through. He is troubles by the death of his father (who was a police officer killed in duty). He is also the most stubborn of the group and was the last one to forgive Ken, after he defected to their side. He receives the Digimental (Digi-Egg) of Knowledge and the Digimental of Faith (Digi-Egg of Reliability). Ken Ichijouji - At first he was infected by the Dark Seed (Dark Spore) and driven mad, becoming the Digimon Kaiser (Digimon Emperor). He tried to conquer the Digital World thinking it was a video game while at the same time trying to be as close to his definition of perfect in the real world in order to be like his deceased older brother Osamu (Sam). Ken blamed himself for Osamu's death, which occured shortly after Ken wished for him to die because he was jealous of him. After his ultimate weapon, Chimeramon (Kimeramon), was defeated Ken realized that it wasn't just a game and tried to fix what he had done. Daisuke became his best friend after a while of being with the Chosen Children. He receives the Crest of Kindness. His Digimon partner is Wormmon and his fusion partner is Daisuke, but he was also friends with Ryou in the Wonderswan games. Firends & Family of the Chosen Children (Digidestined): Susumu & Yuuko Yagami- Taichi and Hikari's mother and father. Hiroaki Ishida & Natsuko (Nancy) Takaishi - Yamato & Takeru's parents, now divorced. Hiroaki works as a reporter and tends to be a bit of a workaholic but is a nice guy. He finds about his son's connection to the Digimon during Vamdemon's attack on the city. Haruhiko & Toshiko Takenouchi - Sora's parents. Toshiko, Sora's mother, banned her from playing soccer once when she came home with a injury, this caused a distance between them. Though that was resolved later in the first season. Haruhiko is a collage professor who is researching on the digital world and Jou's oldest brother, Shin is one of his students. Miyako meets both of them during her class trip to Kyoto and he explains some of his theories to her. Keisuke & Satoe Tachikawa - Mimi's parents. They spoiled her a bit and were overprotective of her. They also act like a newlywed couple. Shuu (Jim) Kido - One of Jou's older brothers. He helps the chosen children a little bit when Vamdemon was attacking Obiba. Shin (Jim) Kido- Jou's oldest brother. He meets Miyako when she is vistiting Kyoto with her class. He also drove them to where they needed to be when Demon (Deamon) was attacking. In the English dub it was made to look like that he was Shuu, which is why their English dub names are the same. Masami & Yoshie Izumi - Koushiro's adoptive parents. They never told him directly that he was adopted but he overheard it himself which troubled him for awhile. Jun (June) Motomiya - Daisuke's older sister. She and Daisuke argue a lot but are still close. She also chases after Yamato through most of the early second season trying to get a date with him. After she finally gets it through her head that he didn't like her she quickly formed another crush on Shuu. Momoe, Chizuru, Mantarou - Miyako's siblings, two sisters and one brother. Because there are four of them in one family they have to fight for attention. Hiroki Hida - Iori's deceased father. He was a police officer who died in the line of duty. Chikara Hida- Iori's grandfather. He served like a father in Hiroki's absence. He also taught Iori kendo. Osamu (Sam) Ichijouji - Ken's deceased older brother. When Ken was little Osamu was an Grade A student and got most of the attention. One day Ken wished he would go away because he was jealous. That same day Osamu was hit by a car and died. Ryou Akiyama: Ken's friend, they meet in the DigitalWorld. Ryou became a DigiDesinted when he witnessed the Omegamon/Diablomon fight. His story was told in vieo game series, which had me fighting Milleniumon{One time with Ken by his side}. Due to fan-popularity, he was made a important character in Tamers as a 'Legendary Tamer'. His partner{In the anime} was likely to be the same Digimon he has in Tamers, Cyberdramon. International Chosen Children: Wallace (Willis) - An American chosen child featured in the third movie(And a CD special). He had two Digimon partners, Gumimon(Gummymon)/Terriermon & Chocomon (Kokomon). Chocomon was infected with a virus and driven mad. The other chosen children help him fight against Chocomon. They sadly have to destroy him, though he is reborn as a Digitama (Digi Egg). Wallace also calls his mother a lot to tell her where he is. He receives the Digimental of Fate. Michael: A American Chosen Child, Betamon was his Digimon partner Hoi(Poi) Brothers - Three brothers that help Koushiro and Hikari in Hong Kong. They all formed quick crushes on Hikari. Each of them has a Syakomon{Shakomon} for a Digimon partner. Yuri, Lola (Sonya), and Anna - Russian Chosen children who help Sora and Miyako. They couldn't speak the same language and had to communicate through hand signals. They had Kuwagamon, Snimon, and Unimon for there Digimon partners. Chicho (Rosa) - A Mexican chosen child who helped Ken and Yamato. She had a crush on Ken, and later on Stingmon as well. Her Digimon partner is Gotsumon. Catherine - A French chosen child who helped Taichi and Takeru. Both Taichi and Takeru seemed to have a bit of a crush on her. Her Digimon partner is Floramon. Dingo (Derek) - An Australian chosen child who helped Jou and Iori. His digimon partner is Ganimon (Crabmon). Mina - An Indian chosen child. Her Digimon partner is Meramon. Yuehon - Chinese chosen child. Yuehon's Digimon partner is Hanumon (Apemon). Dien - Vietnamese chosen child. Dien's Digimon partner is Gorimon (Gorillamon). Micheal - An American chosen child that Mimi knows. His Digimon partner is Betamon. Lou, Maria, Steve, Sam (Phil), Tatum - five more American chosen children. Their Digimon partners are Tortomon, Kentarumon (Centarumon), Yukidarumon (Frigimon), Flarelizamon (Flarerizamon), and Airdramon. Other: Oikawa Yukio - Was Hikori Hida's best friend when they were children. He was a loner, everyone would laugh and stuned him. (because in one of his flashback, Yukio would looked like if he slept in the same clothes, he was walking on a brigde with a downcast face looking sad). One day he met Hiroki Hida who was the olny person who would not mock him like everyone else, they became best friends; Hiroki was his only friend yet Yukio would only talk to Hiroki and he would only love him putting all of his self-esteem on Hiroki. Hiroki has his own obessession: he would spent hours and hours playing old video game and oddly begin to commuticate with the world in the game which was clearly the Digital World, this worries his father. Hiroki shared his obessession with Yukio and they had minor contact with the Digital World through a game system and had a dream of going there. Hiroki and Yukio would share their dreams togather but they cannot share it with someone else and made the promise that one day these two would go to the Digital World togather. (Yukio later said he saw his Digimon name Datirimon as a kid during his happier days with Hiroki. It was not clear if Hiroki met his own Digimon ). Hiroki and Yukio spent to much time togather, they were inseparable. Hiroki's father Chikara was fed up and took the games away and separated Hiroki and Yukio, they were heartbroken but conutiunes to be togather and share their dreams. When the boys grew to their collage years, Yukio would try to find a way to enter the Digital World (At that point Yukio was trying to create something that was going to help them go into the Digital World, but Hiroki died before he can see the project completed. Yukio created the digital spider image but Hiroki was dead before it was done.) When they became man, Yukio was a computer programmer working with Ken's father. And Hiroki became a police man but they still shared their dreams and they were still insepeatible. In 1995 after the incidet in Trannce View Hight, Yukio went there and had an contact with Takeru and Yamato(Matt)'s Mother Natsuko(Nancy). Yukio knew that Trannce View Higth serves as a gateway to the Digital World. Somewhere in 1999 before Augest, Hiroki was killed, taking a bullet met for a political figure theofore his death left behind his wife, his son, his father and a shattered Yukio(Yukio and Hiroki were the same age, Hiroki was 30 years old when he died and Yukio was 30 years old when this happened.) Yukio self-image was out-of-order, his peach skin became sickly pale, his cheekbone bit sticking out, his eye became sunked while his purils became small and the ligth in it disappered, his nose was sharp-edged same as his chin, he became an loney man again. Yukio was full sarrow, grive, depression, hate, fear, and sadness. He spent his time in self-pity. In Augest 5, after the frist generation Digi-Destine defeated Venom Vempdemon, the Digtal world was ripped opened in the sky, Yukio saw it from across the river. Stunned, he took out the picture of his decreased friend hoping to show him, he broke down crying asking Hiroki why did he has to die and left him alone in this world. When the Digi-Destine was going up to the Digital World, Yukio begged them to take him with them but they are to far to hear him, Vempdemon hear him and tempted Yukio to give his soul to the darkness if he wants to go to the Digtal World, Yukio was thinking to fast and not really understand what he was saying, so Vampdemon went on to posses him and rested in Yukio's mind for three years, Vempdemon wanted to enter the Digital World also but he can't so he chose Yukio as a perfect opperituity to rest his Digital data ghost. Over these years Yukio became selfish and mean. In 2000 after the death of Osamu, Yukio was invited to the funreal where he frist saw Ken, Vempdemon saw Ken as an perfect oppertuity to work for him, Ken got an cold chill from the way Yukio stared at him. Yukio later sent an E-mail to Ken telling him to go back in the Digital World and ended up in the Dark Ocean. It also caused him to manipulate Ken to become the Digimon Kaiser, into creating Dark Towers (Control Spires) throughout the Digital World to weaken the barrier between the worlds. He also combined his DNA with computer data to create Archnemon (Arukenimon) and Mummymon to serve him after Ken was defeated. He captured Ken and scanned the Dark Seed (Dark Spore) that was in him and made copies of it which he then implanted within other children. He then used them, along with a gate command that he had gained, to attempt to travel to the Digital World. However the gate he tried to use had been sealed by Blackwargreymon and he ended up in another world. After he was there Vamdemon came out of him becoming Belialvamdemon. Belialvamdemon procceded to tell Oikawa of how he manipulated him. The chosen children then came and defeated Belialvamdemon, Iori tried to help Yukio enter the Digital World to fillful his dream by dragging him to the gate but Oikawa had already been critically wounded by having Vandemon inside of him. He received his Digimon partner Datirimon, but it was too late. He thanked the chosen children for helping him and quietly passed away, he turned into bunch of butterflys to banish the darkness from the Digital World. He became an Digital World guardian. Noriko - She was one of the children that Oikawa implanted the copies of Ken's Dark Seed into. Before she was a sickly girl who had to wear a smog mask wherever she went and she coughed a lot. Once the Dark Seed affected her she overcame this with ease but became cold hearted just like Ken became. Her Dark Seed grew faster than the other children's and bloombed into a flower that radiated dark energy. Oikawa showed up and absorbed the flower's energy causing her to fall unconcious. With the seed gone now she was free from it. She was with the first generation of chosen children when they watched Belialvamdemon's blanket of darkness cover the Earth. They brought her to the Digital World when the portal opened up. She received a Digivice and her Digimon partner Punimon. She helped power up Imperialdramon with her Digivice along with all of the other chosen children who had gathered from all over the world. Hiroshi, Takashi, Keiko - Three other children who were infected with the Dark Seeds. Like Noriko they became strong and smart but cold and callous once the Dark Seeds took their hold on them. They helped Oikawa try to go to the Digital World but ended up in another dimension instead. Belialvamdemon emerged from Oikawa and absorbed the Dark Seeds inside each of them. When Belialvamdemon began to lose the fight he fed on their fear to power himself up. Daisuke and the gang gave them some pep talk to cheer them up which in turn weakened Belialvamdemon. When they listened on their dreams Hiroshi said he wanted to draw comics, Takashi said she wanted to play baseball, and Keiko wanted to become a baker. Fujiama - A teacher at the school. He is first seen when Taichi and the others first came back from the Digital World. In the second season he has become the manager of the school's computer lab, despite the fact that he knows relatively little about computers. Yutaka, Akira, Takashi - Members of the "Teenage-Wolves" band that Yamato sings for. Gennai - A digital being in the form of a oldman who helped the chosen children throughout the first season, mostly by providing them with information. He would later return in the second season as a young-man, serving Qinglongmon (Azulongmon) and brought the digicores to the chosen children to power up their Digimon. Benjamin, Jackie, Eucalyptus (Hogan), Jos, Ilya - Duplicates of Gennai who aided the international chosen children. Benjamin was stationed in North America, Jackie in southern Asia, Eucalyptus in Australia, Jos in Mexico, and Ilya in Russia. Natsu-Chan: She only appeared in a CD drama, when Daisuke went to America to see Wallace & Mimi during the summer of '03. While she resembled a human, Natsu-chan{As Daisuke called her} seemed to be Digimon suffering much like Chocomon{In the form of maddness-inducing digital-fireflies that infected Buimon & Terriermon as well}, she wanted Daisuke as her partner even by killing Buimon. She died to protect Daisuke from herself. She was the only girl beside Hikari Daisuke actually had feelings for. Digimon Tamers Main Characters: Takato Matsuda: A boy with whose created his own Digimon, Guilmon. Unlike the other Goggle Boys, he is a bit pacifistic and is very agreeable. Li Jenrya: A half-Japanese/half-Chinese boy. His partner is Terriermon. Ruki Nonaka: The only female member of the trio. Her partner is Renamon. Juri Katou: A girl Takato has a crush on. Her partner was Leomon, until he was killed by Beelzebumon. She is kidnapped by the D-Reaper for much of the series end. Digimon Frontier Takuya Kanbara: Much like Taichi & Daisuke, he is also a cocky leader. He uses the Spirits of Fire to become Agnimon, Vritramon, or Ardhamon. Kouji Minamoto: Much like Yamato. He uses the Spirits of Light to become Wolfmon, Garmmon, or Beowulfmon. Tomoki Himi: The youngest of the gang, a crybaby. He uses the Spirits of Ice to become Chakmon or Blizzarmon. Izumi Orimoto: The only female member, she lived in Italy for a long time. She uses the Spirits of Wind to become Fairymon, or Shutumon. Junpei Shibayama: The oldest of the group. He uses the Spirits of Thunder to become Bliztmon, or Borgmon. Kouichi Kimura: Kouji's 'older' twin brother. He once assisted the enemy as Duskmon before he was purfied & joined the other Chosen Children. He uses the purified Spirits of Darkness to become Lowemon or KaizerLeomon.
