List Of Governors Of New York

This is a list of the Governors of New York. The Governor of the U.S. state of New York is the highest executive officer of the state, was originally chosen for a term of two years. In 1877 it was extended to three years, in 1895 reduced back to two years, and in 1938 it was extended to the current four-year term.
