Lionel Vinyl

Lionel Vinyl (nee Ian Davenport) is one of the most prolific creators of bootleg or mash up mixes, where two or more radically different tunes are combined, most often using the acapella of one track over the instrumental of another track. One of the most creative producers of the genre, he has combined artists such as Yes and Sir Mix-A-Lot, The Strokes and Dizzee Rascal and Kylie Minogue and Mark Ronson. He has also had videos of his creations shown by British digital music channel QTV, MTV on its MTV Mash programme (under the name of Elektrobank), and his output is regularly aired on XFMs "The Remix". In addition to all this he creates his own remixes under the alias of Fake ID, and DJ's as part of Nu_skool_breaks duo half.arsed.beats.
