Linda Nagata

Linda Nagata (1960-) is an American science fiction author who won the Nebula award for best novella in 2000. She frequently writes about nanotechnology and the integration of advanced computing with the human brain. Nagata was born in San Diego, and moved during childhood to the Hawaiian Islands, on the northshore of the island of O`ahu. After college, she relocated to Maui, where she continues to live. In addition to writing, she is a mother and works full-time programming database-driven websites.
