Linda Jackson-hutton

Linda Jackson-Hutton is a museum curator and author living in Bala, Ontario, Canada. With her husband Jack Hutton, Linda owns and operates two local establishments: The Inn at Roselawn and Bala's Museum With Memories Of Lucy Maud Montgomery. The latter contains history and artifacts of the Muskoka region as well as information on Canadian author L. M. Montgomery who though most famously wrote the Anne of Green Gables series, also wrote one book not based in Prince Edward Island: The Blue Castle. Montgomery vacationed with her family in Bala for 2 weeks in 1922 and based the 1926 book on the region as she loved it so much. Jackson-Hutton also co-wrote a book with her husband, entitled Lucy Maud Montgomery And Bala: A Love Story Of The North Woods, printed by Watts Printing in Gravenhurst, Ontario. ISBN 0-9683934-0-3 is a regional one, but can be found online at Canadian sites. In 1999 Jackson-Hutton designed a commemorative plate, celebrating the 125th anniversary of Montgomery's birth.
