Linares

A number of places are called Linares . Linares (Spain) is a city in the province of Jan in Andalusia, Spain. It is a centre for silver and lead mining. It is also notable as the site of a strong annual chess tournament (see Linares chess tournament). Linares (Mexico) is a small town of 70000 people in Nuevo Len, Mexico. Linares (Chile) is a small city located in the VII Region (Maule) in southern Chile. Approx 303 km from Santiago, it has a population of 83.249 (2002 census) and covers an area of 1.465,7 km.
