Lighthouse Design

Lighthouse Design, Ltd., before it was taken over by Sun Microsystems in 1996, was an American software company based in San Mateo, California. One of Lighthouse's products was an office applications suite for NeXTSTEP, which includes ParaSheet (a traditional spreadsheet program), Quantrix (a spreadsheet program in the vein of Lotus Improv), Diagram! (a vector graphics program), and Concurrence (a presentation program). According to Jonathan Schwartz, the former chief executive officer of Lighthouse Design, the office suite will probably never again be offered to the public, now that it is under the control of Sun Microsystems. (Sun has its own office suite, StarOffice.)
