Lichtenfels, Hesse

Lichtenfels is a town in the south of the old principalty of Waldeck (now the district Waldeck-Frankenberg, Hesse). It was founded in 1971 by merging the villages of Sachsenberg, Goddelsheim, Frstenberg, Mnden, Dalwighstahl, Rhadern Neukirchen and Immighausen. The name "Lichtenfels" was taken from the Castle Lichtenfels in the middle of the community.
