Liberalism In Ukraine

This article gives an overview of liberalism in Ukraine. It is limited to liberal parties with substantial support, mainly proved by having had a representation in parliament. The sign ⇒ means a reference to another party in that scheme. For inclusion in this scheme it isn't necessary so that parties labeled themselves as a liberal party.

Introduction

The Radical Democrats were one of the dominant forces in pre-revolutionary Russian Ukraine. Due to the splintered party system in Ukraine the timeline is limited to the post-1990 period. The position of liberalism nowadays is unclear. The Liberal Party (Liberalna Partia, observer LI) is a small liberal party and the Electoral Blok Juli Tymoshenko (Viborcyj Blok Julii Tymoenko) seems to develop into a more or less liberal party.
